Loring Park Rezoning Study

The Loring Park Neighborhood Masterplan was formally adopted by the Minneapolis City Council in 2012. As part of the policy implementation, the planning department undertook a rezoning study of the neighborhood in 2014. The Urban Design team was engaged to analyze the built environmental impacts of potential zoning districts on the historic fabric of the downtown neighborhood. I created a series of conceptual models and illustrations to demonstrate the zoning standards that best achieved the desired design outcomes for future development. The rezoning study was adopted and implemented as recommended in 2016.
